FACILITY  

We have a great space with a lot of history.  This building was the last active horse-drawn fire department in the city.


Today it is outfitted with:

  7. ★We also have Conference Rooms, Offices and general Space for hanging out and relaxing.

Beside the gear we own listed above, we regualarly rent the approriate gear for each project from 5-ton grip trucks to $100,00+ Camera/Lens Packages.  We Regualary shoot film and also Shoot other formats with the Red, SonyF3 and the Arri Alexa.


And of course we are up to speed on the current software for edting, compositing, graphics, animation, audio, DVD authoring, encoding.

Focal Point Productions has been editing and shooting video and film in Louisville, KY since 1989. We have shot in most of the contiguous United States as well as Mexico and Europe.   The video and film production business has changed dramatically in that timeframe and we've made it a priority to keep pace with the advances in technology.  Back in 1989, Focal Point Productions shot and edited with 3/4” Umatic Tape, we had tube cameras, and edited everything on linear equipment.  A few years later we moved to Beta cameras and editing equipment.  Then in the 90’s, Focal Point Productions moved to non-linear editing.  Video production has improved dramatically, and today new cameras and technologies come out on a monthly basis.  All of these video advances have allowed Focal Point Productions to offer their clients increasingly better products.  However, without the ability to tell a compelling story, the technology is useless.  At Focal Point, we marry the technological advances in video production with the art of story-telling to give our clients audio and visual productions that communicate their story in an effective way.
